Nostalgic Family Prints

These were a few prints I created midway through school - trying to find my groove in thinking conceptually, creating interesting work, and fusing the design world with the hands-on quality of printmaking. I created these prints reflecting family, which is very important to me. Each unique print embodies my view of each family member.

Papaw Tinker always played Johnny Cash on the guitar...and wore flannel shirts.

Life was especially good, cozied next to Granny on the front porch swing. My grandmother also had a Mimosa tree in her yard, next to the swing - so it was natural to encorporate hand-drawn images of the mimosa flowers.

When Uncle David pushed us on the swing, we went so high we could almost touch the sky.
